Harmony Heifers

Once upon a time in a verdant and hilly land, there was a rambling stupid-big house with a studio inside. And in this studio—owned and operated by none other than Chef Jeff Vader, All-powerful God of Biscuits (and Master of Toast)—we recorded a marvelous album of mostly a cappella music with Christine Dickenson-Connor and Elizabeth "The Creature" Burnham, whom we love and adore. We called the group and it's output Harmony Heifers and if you follow this link, you will find yourself a click away from purchasing some of all of that wild and crazy venture into the land of Mooooooo!

You May Be Wondering…

Posted on March 14, 2016 by Maya Bohnhoff

Remember the Rain CD Final ArtYou may be wondering what fiendish schemes those Bohnhoffs are planning now that they’ve released their third original music CD. The answer is that we are going to begin working on our next parody album (to be named).

Yes, we already have a slew of songs that have not been recorded yet. Some of them are so new or so … er … complicated that we haven’t even performed them.

There are the inevitable Queen songs, of course. Some of you have heard “Dairy Queen” which is our send up of “Killer Queen” and we will be doing that one. But we also have a parody of “Green Eggs and Ham” that we have yet to roll out. We’re also hoping to record Maya’s original fannish song, “Second Sight”, which is based on one of our favorite television shows, Grimm.

And, of course, we are always looking for fresh grist for the parody mill. Our list is growing…

Watch this space.

Well, here it is … sort of

Well, it’s over a year late, but we’ve sort of gotten the site up and running. I’m trying out a new theme that looks promising, if complicated.

Our new album—I Remember the Rain—is in release and is available from all the usual suspects. Those being Band Camp, CD Baby, iTunes, and most likely Amazon when all is said and done.

We’re loving the gorgeous cover art by Beckett Gladney, and I am especially taken by the sassy crows. They feature prominently in one of our favorite songs on the album, “As the Crow Flies”.

More news soon, I promise!
