About Us
You have entered the the lair of Jeff and Maya Bohnhoff. If you did not intend to enter here, abandon all hope, because you’re lost.
Then again, you could try again to reach the party to whom you intended to be connected. OR you could stay and check out our site.
We are performing musicians who call ourselves Jeff and Maya Bohnhoff . . . because those are our names. We perform at science fiction and filk conventions mostly because those are friendly spirits. We record our music, as you can see from our gallery of albums. Chef Jeff Vader (All-Powerful God of Biscuits) also produces albums for other people—you can visit his studio website—and Maya is the rental backup singer. You can visit her personal and literary website here.
So, who are we, really?
To quote from our Bandcamp page, ‘Jeff and Maya have an identity crisis. Their music is sometimes uproariously funny parody (like their spot-on “Bohemian Rhapsody” parody “Midichlorian Rhapsody”, or hauntingly beautiful, like “Road to Jerusalem” or “Manhattan Sleeps”. One way or another, their music will create strong emotions. Jeff and Maya have been creating music together since 1979, and plan to continue for some time to come.’
Hi Jeff & Maya,
From your old roommate in Grass Valley, CA. and your prior band member Jim Newman’s little sister. So glad to see your accomplishments over the years, especially the fantasy novel writing since I’m a huge sci-fi fantasy reader (Terry Goodkind my fave).
Not sure where you two are residing these days, but if you’re ever in Oregon I’d love to see you!

Maya, I wonder if you can help me. My real name is Ron Keene. J. Michael Reeves and I were roommates circa 1976 and attended Calif State College San Bernardino together.
When I knew him he had just written one of his first stories – Breath of Dragons.
Over the years I have lost track of him. I know he has Parkinsons. I would like to write to him or get his email addy. Mine is oldwerewolf56@gmail.com. My phone number is 909-474-1379
