Harmony Heifers

Once upon a time in a verdant and hilly land, there was a rambling stupid-big house with a studio inside. And in this studio—owned and operated by none other than Chef Jeff Vader, All-powerful God of Biscuits (and Master of Toast)—we recorded a marvelous album of mostly a cappella music with Christine Dickenson-Connor and Elizabeth "The Creature" Burnham, whom we love and adore. We called the group and it's output Harmony Heifers and if you follow this link, you will find yourself a click away from purchasing some of all of that wild and crazy venture into the land of Mooooooo!

We are happy to be able to announce that we have been invited to be the musical Guests of Honor at the 73rd West Coast Science Fantasy Conference (Westercon 2020) from July 2-5, 2020 in Seattle WA. We are still in the planning stage for our concert, but we expect to do something exciting. For more details about the convention, have a look at the Westercon 2020 web site.

Jeff & Maya are GoH for LepreCON!

We may now let the cat out of the box … er, bag.

Jeff and Maya will serve as music Guests of Honor at the 2019 LepreCON April 18-21, 2019 in Phoenix, AZ at the Doubletree Phoenix North.

We Play at Maya’s Big Book Event!

The debut event for Maya’s first detective novel, THE ANTIQUITIES HUNTER, will be held at the Phoebe Hearst Museum of Anthropology on October 20th. The event will begin at 1:00 PM in the conference room in Kroeber Hall and will feature a bit of acoustic music performed by us, Maya reading a selection from the book, a Q&A session (no spoilers1) and, of course, Maya will sign books you buy or bring.

There will also be special treats and tchotchkesfor anyone who buys a book.

The plot of this first Gina Miyoko novel follows a petite but mighty detective into the wilds of Chiapas where she encounters the relics of a long-dead Mayan king, Shield Jaguar II. In an amazing case of synchronous serendipity, the exhibit the Hearst is hosting during the book release event is entitled Face to Face: Looking at Objects that Look Back.
