Harmony Heifers

Once upon a time in a verdant and hilly land, there was a rambling stupid-big house with a studio inside. And in this studio—owned and operated by none other than Chef Jeff Vader, All-powerful God of Biscuits (and Master of Toast)—we recorded a marvelous album of mostly a cappella music with Christine Dickenson-Connor and Elizabeth "The Creature" Burnham, whom we love and adore. We called the group and it's output Harmony Heifers and if you follow this link, you will find yourself a click away from purchasing some of all of that wild and crazy venture into the land of Mooooooo!

Jeff’s First Worldcon Concert Report

Posted on July 20, 2018 by Maya Bohnhoff

Maya and I had our first rehearsal last night for the big Friday night concert at WorldCon.

Avalon Rising will be our backing band on five songs, so we went to their rehearsal space in Oakland to go over everything.

What a fabulous band! It’s been years since we played with a full rock band, and we had a blast.

This is going to be good! Thanks to Kristoph Klover, Margaret Davis, Scott Irwin and Mark Ungar.

From Concept to Completion – Schrödinger’s Hairball Art

Posted on July 7, 2018 by Maya Bohnhoff

Sometimes how something goes from high concept to reality is the result of deep forethought, careful planning and a firm grasp of the principles of marketing … and sometimes somebody just scribbles something on the paper tablecloth in an Italian restaurant because someone else came up with an album title.

How did Schrödinger’s Hairball’s cover art—by the amazing and multi-talented Beckett Gladney—come into being?

Look What Turned Up On Our Doorstep!

Posted on June 27, 2018 by Maya Bohnhoff

Yes indeed. Here they are, many boxes of Schrödinger’s Hairball.

This answers the question as to whether the CDs exist or do not exist. They DO exist! They are obtainable directly from us, from CDBaby(in a week or two), or–if you prefer downloads—from BandCamp. And if you attend science fiction gen-cons or filk-cons, you will be able to purchase these mysterious items from the usual suspects.

Yes! They will be available at Westercon. Glad you asked. 🙂 We will also be performing in the filk hall and in the main venue. Check your convention schedules for show times.

Of course, if you buy the physical CD, you have all the stunning artwork by none other than Beckett Gladney, who also plays harmonica and adds vocal talent to the album.
